Devizes, Wiltshire. March 2007
Eleven units and 20 members met at the Camping and Caravanning Club site at Devizes and a good time was had by all! Unit types ranged from various Romahomes to Bongo and Auto Sleeper.
Weather was reasonable for the time of year and some of us were able to have a pleasant walk up the Caen Flight of locks to a nice tea shop at the top, approx. 3 mile round trip. Well done to Niqk the dog for making it all the way!
Most folk arrived Friday afternoon and after setting up and a nice chat popped along to the local pub for a drink after tea.
Saturday some walked to the tea shop and back with some continuing into Devizes, while others did their own thing visiting local attractions.
Saturday afternoon two more units arrived, so there was more chatting as the weather turned very blustery and wet!
Saturday evening some of us went along to the local pub for the pre-arranged evening meal kindly arranged (but not paid for!) by John and Wendy. Fine food and good company made it a lovely pleasant evening.
