The First Ever Meet
Chipping Norton - October 2006
The weekend started well with most of us arriving mid afternoon Friday. We had a good natter and shared ideas about vans and watched with interest and offered encouraging remarks as some began setting up their awning.
In the evening some walked to the local pub along a very dark and long country lane! Some stayed behind to do their own thing.
Saturday morning we all caught the bus into Chipping Norton. The local council, obviously having heard that some of us did not do walking and had very kindly located the bus stop immediately outside the site!
A pleasant walk around Chipping Norton stopping for various treats such a coffee, cake or chips before catching the bus back to the site.
In the afternoon some of us set off for a stroll of around 4 miles along the lovely footpaths which pass the site. Others did their own thing such as staying on site and visitng local villages.
Another member arrived in the afternoon so a good natter was on the cards again. In the evening some walked to the pub again for a meal while others stayed on site and did their own thing.
Sunday we woke to beautiful sunshine and enjoyed a mini tour of all the vans taking in their different qualities.A good time was had by all.
