Nothing wrong with mine - that I know of - but each tale of overheating probs make me squirm, so am wondering if it would be advisable to do a "just in case" replacement!!

Hi Mike

To be honest Mike Im not really sure if its genuine Mazda or not I had it done at a Bongo Importers in Wigan who supplied it they know their Bongos inside out.The one that was on was the original of 14 yrs ish so as long as it does the job Im happy it looked exactly the same as the old one.An additional thought within bongocircles is to have the thermostat changed when you have a new radiator, when I asked the garage about this their thought is to leave the stat well alone if its working fine which mine is.They also sorted a dodgy hose out for me whilst I was there.....nothing like observation, observation, observation with a Bongo!!

Default Tintin

Hi

I'm Jillygumbo and my tintop is Tintin! I've had Tintin now for 7 years and I love him to bits. Tintin is my regular vehicle and whilst I used to be the taxi for quite a few line dancers in the past, now I keep him packed with the camping gear so I can get away quickly when the sun shines at the weekends.

I'm based in Swindon and go to a fair few of the Bongo Fury meets and mini-meets if they're not too far away.

Does that make it 4 bongos?

Hi Jilly
I thinks its three Bongos now as we lost one earlier in the year (and just as the takeover bid was gaining some momentum too )

Well done on the 7 yrs of ownership I have had mine for 4 but its currently up for sale pending a new project to sort out.I may see you at a Bongo Meet I may not we will have to wait and see on that one!

In the mean time carry on having fun

Thanks for that Sparky!!

I have had 43 enquiries now and still not one viewer,I made the decision today to reduce my price a little in the hope of attracting the rare viewer!! I hope it works!!
I know beauty is is the eye of the beholder but I think its a lovely van at a reasonable price.........maybe its too bling

I will keep trying as it has to go......somehow!!

Probably that "revolting" wood-effect dash cover that's holding up the sale - do yourself a favour - whip it off and send it to me.............!!

Well its finally happened I struck a deal today with the sale of my Bongo "Arnie".Im very pleased as its going to a good home and the new owner is very similar to me in that he loves a clean motor, hes also a Saints supporter who hails from St Helens (my home town) but now lives in Derbyshire. The handover will take place at weekend so I have a few days with it yet before it goes to pastures new.
I hope the new owner has as much enjoyment as I have had with it and it behaves itself as it has done for me.
I will be sad to see it go and pleased as I can now make plans as to where I go next!!

I will still pop on here though you dont get rid of me that easy!!

Cheers
Dabs

Well done Dabs, glad you managed to find a good home for Arnie.

Glad you are sticking around, you've been with us a long time now and we'd hate you to disappear completely.

Let us know what's next on the agenda won't you.

Im still working on it Graham,I can tell you it wont be a campervan I will come back to it all later on but for now I need a few years in a normal car,I have to say that because the Bongo was anything but normalMaybe that also rubs off on the owners too!!

Had a really strange day as I got to wave my Bongo Arnie off along with its new owner,I was sad but glad as I think he will look after it as I have done.It has been a cracking van to own and Id like to think I have made it a better van with the improvements I have made to it along the way,its given me 4 solid years of reliability as well as being a camper it was my everyday transport and has been superb all the way through.

So its a fond farewell to Arnie Bongo it will hold a special place in my heart, soppy I know! but it was my little piece of home I used to take camping with me!!

Now will some other Bongo owner please support Bongo Chat on here as I wont be around that much I will drop in but we need a Bongo NUT to take over posting

Cheers
Dave

Hi Dabs, I know exactly how you feel, I felt the same when I sold my little Daisy romahome... That went to a couple who I knew would apreciate it just like I did. Isn't it funny how you can get so attached to an inannimate object like that? Almost like giving away one of your babies! LOL!

Onwards and upwards with the next project then, eh? Can't wait to see which bit of the forum you'll be inhabiting next!

Will do Graham,I think it best if Bongopeeps find their own way to this Forum,I have a suspicion that it would be swamped if it was spread around.
I will drop in and see what going on from time to time...and you never know if I ever make a return to Camping related vehicles I may even consider a RomahomeNever say never!!

Anyway I picked up my new ride today I bought a Jaguar ....its a dream!!

You may not be able to sleep in it but you can certainly polish it!!

Cheers
