Wow, that's a real head turner. Thanks for putting the picture on I would think it's pretty unique.

Not since 1978, and it wasn't quite so bright.

    Suntor conversion?

That'll be an Escort Mk 2 then? I had a Mark 1 which I used to use for rallying, brilliant little car, handled like a mini and went like a rocket. When I eventually killed it off I bought a Mark 2 and it spent more time in the service bay than on the road. Talk about one extreme to another! Love this little conversion though you'd need a pair of sunglasses on when polishing it....

I had a Mini in those days. NOTHING handled like a Mini! And as a motor mechanic I often drove and road tested both Mk1 Escorts and Minis. In fact I chose and bought Mini for my car. Such FUN!

We had one of those, too, back in about 1987/88. Had it resprayed in brown (Anne's choice!). A great little weekender, but we did have a week-long holiday in it once. We had a drive-away awning over the back, but had to remember to stop the engine and push the van in or it filled up with exhaust fumes!
We sold it (for £500!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) in '89 when we discovered Royale caravans.

P S, Bubble, we'd love to see that at a Retro Caravan Club UK rally!
