I'm currently at Chirk CMC site and there is a Go Pod here, I haven't seen the owners yet. I've seen a few being towed out and about as well.

I am afraid that nothing would entice me to exchange my Romini for a Go Pod.
Four people can sit comfortably around the table in a Romini, but there is barely sufficient space for two to sit in the Go Pod even without a table. And room to stand up straight is very limited too. Leaving me feeling rather confined.
The Go Pod is a very clever excercise of a quart in a pint pot. And though many might find it their ideal it is certainly not mine.
    Sorry David.

Horses for courses, I think, Jim!

I wouldn't swap my Kip caravan for either a Romini or a GoPod!

    Horses for courses??????

Does that mean my belly (or my head or something) would not fit in a Go Pod?

Just followed up on an ebay email for Go pod on ebay. All because of clicking on the link on an earlier post. There is only one I Pod but lots of others from home builds to professional offerings.
It seems to me that the only reason for a teardrop shape is an attempt to reduce power required in the towing vehicle by reducing air drag.
Less than half have opted for the best shape with a rounded front tapering to a pointed tail. No doubt they all reduce drag when compared with (say) a Romini but I wonder how much?
Both my cars will easily tow my Romini up to the legal speed limit of 60 and without much of a penalty in fuel consumption and I find the Romini and others similar less claustrophobic.
A curious thing about air-flow over a moving object is that a pointed tail is best up to the Sound Barrier speed, but a pointed nose A LA Concorde for speeds beyond it.

I suppose that I might find a Gopod , more appealing David if I had to pay what seems to be the going price now for a Romini.

I think that Rominis have a section on the forum because they were initially the product of the Romahome manufacturers Island Plastics and are thus considered as relatives.
The decision of what sections are on the forum are Graham and Pauline's alone. But I have always considered Romini contributors as "friends" who are (perhaps) tolerated because of the manufacturing connection with Romahomes.

We would be happy to add a section for Go Pods if there was enough interest, how many podders have we got on here now?
