Default Looking for a cheap awning for a non-tailgate Kangoo.

Can anybody help me, I'm looking for an awning to site at the rear end of my Kangoo. But my Kangoo is a double swing door version not one with a tailgate boot/hatchback style, the only ones I can see online are for the tailgate styles. Ive enclosed an image of my Kangoo to let you see what im on about. If anyone has any advice/ideas or indeed a link to a suitable awning or tent that would be great.

I have a Kangoo and I have a frame tent that opens (zipped) on
both sides. I can back up the motor to be flush with the tent.
This is just an idea for you. I'm not sure if anyone still makes
frame tents like mine? I bought my second hand years ago.
The original actually had a sort of sealing flange (material) round
the rear opening to mate up to the van, but it had been cut off
    when I bought it.

Maybe one of these? Available from Decathlon, easy to erect, and easy to fold away when you know how! Decathlon will demonstrate and there are Quechua videos online. We use one on occasions at one end of our wind out awning.

A driveaway awning would probably do the trick. Have a look at the other awning threads in this section of the forum for photos.

The movelite drive away awnings are very good.

Any of the driveaway awnings should do it, as Jayjay says. The attachment to the van should clear the top of the open doors as it slopes up to the roof quite steeply.

Thanks for the help guys, i've just ordered a quecha base 4 man, hopefully I will be able to adapt it to get it as close and useable as possible. Managed to source one for 55 quid so thought I'd give that a bash. Was getting a nosebleed looking at thousands of second hand driveaway awnings that didnt include dimensions of entrances etc, so frustrating! Does anyone have a photo of what a quecha base looks like on the back of a kangoo/berlingo or similar?

I have seen quite a few as awnings on sliding side doors but not on rear doors.

I can't see how the doors would be able to open without the awning being set right back leaving a gap.

hmmm will be far from ideal for me on the side door. I was hoping I could fix the large flap that comes off it onto the studs at the back end of my roof. I'm sure i'll be able to work something out. Hopefully!

I am sure you will. Especially if as you suggest, you are not expecting a tight windproof fit.

You could always use your new awning on the side doors and a giant umbrella at the rear - see the 'useful awning video link' a few posts back.
