We visited Elm Cottage in our Romahome for one night on our way down to a festival this summer. It took us longer than expected to get there and so we arrived quite late, but the owners were very friendly and welcoming.

The site itself was neatly laid out, and the facilities clean and functional. Again, the owners were great, even lending us their own towels for the shower as we'd forgotten ours! A small shop keeps essentials on site (including newspaper ordering), and there's a huge camping superstore a couple of miles' drive away for anything else you're likely to need!

The owl garden is lovely, with a range of beautiful owls on display. The local pub is nice and cosy, with a range of ales, although quiz night was on when we were there so it wasn't the most relaxing. We'd booked a second night for our way back, but we were forced to leave early due to the floods and so had to cancel. But we'll definitely stay at Elm Cottage again in the future.
